After losing my Staffy to old age last year, I wanted to wait for a few things to settle down before choosing another dog to love. Having a rescue cat, and feeling the satisfaction that came with saving a life, I was adamant on following that tradition and rescuing a dog. We found Millie’s litter almost immediately and I fell in love. The team at K9 walked me through the adoption process and when it came to picking our new puppy they gave us a few choices that they thought would best suit our living arrangements and young family. Millie has been the perfect completion to our little family, and I look forward to watching my daughter grow up with her, as I did with my dogs in childhood. Thank you again K9 (metro and southwest) for your gift of Millie.
Our big fella Pepper (formerly Texas) has just turned 1 year old! We adopted him from K9 in 2015. He was tiny when we met him in July 2015 at a Waroona Weir doggie day out fund raiser for a very brave girl named Bonnie and her very brave family. Bronwyn from K9 had brought him along, and myself, my wife, and our dog Sergeant all fell in love with him — We were looking for a second rescue dog and adopted him that day! He’s always been very calm and friendly. He is just full of love, especially for his “brother” and best friend Sarge, and loves playing with other dogs including his “cousin” Bella. Also with humans, he enjoys daily playing (especially fetch), and running with his pack. To the amazing folks at K9 Rescue: we can’t thank you enough for the work you do, and for introducing us to our big beautiful boy!

We adopted Sancho a year ago and couldn’t be prouder of the social and personable dog he has become. His favourite pastime is running amok with other dogs but will settle for a good run with us if no doggy pals are available. He is a constant companion at both our footy training and game days as well as by our feet when relaxing at home. Highly intelligent, he loves to learn new tricks especially when cheese is his treat reward. Thanks for letting him into our world K9 Rescue, we can’t imagine life without him.
Sancho – Adopted 25th April 2016
We adopted Patches in October 2012, the most loyal, kind & soft gentleman. Affectionately known as “Patch”, he soon settled into family life, never leaving the sides of our 2 children. He was very timid of men when we brought him home & has no idea of how to play ball or fetch a stick. But that’s ok as he is so loving & loyal. He is best friends with our kitten & pony. We are so thankful that we adopted him from K9! Thank you!
This dog is honestly amazing. Your kennels were chocker block full when I came to choose a dog. He was the one and only dog that didn’t, bark, growl or jump up at the fence when I walked past. He’s such a gentle soul and we feel so lucky to have found him. And I’m sure he feels lucky too!
Patch – Adopted October 2012
We adopted Greg a few weeks ago and Love him to pieces. He’s the sweetest, friendliest and most loving dog. He never meets a stranger and goes almost everywhere we go. He gives us hours of entertainment and lots of love.
Greg – Adopted 08/03/2016
